Coons Family Loves Tate!
Our family was so very blessed to have been able to know and love Tate!! He was the sweetest little baby and my kids just adored him! The first time we met Tate was at Chick Fil A. We all met and while the bigger kids played in the toyland the girls played musical baby 🙂 Brandi, Whitney and I all swapped babies and I got to hold Tate almost the entire lunch. He had such a fun personality, even at a young age. I think we sat at Chick Fil A for over 2 hours, most of which I got to hold and snuggle baby Tate!
We were so lucky to have the Jacobson family come to our daughter’s blessing. My father in law John has somewhat of a deep voice and every time he talked Tate would follow him with his eyes. We all sat watching as he would talk and Tate would just sit intently listening. It was so cute!!

One of our favorite summertime activities was swimming at Grandma Traci’s house! Tate loved the pool, and we loved watching him kick and squeal in delight! One particular day I went inside and all three babies Jane, Kaden and Tate were all sleeping side by side. The pool must have tuckered them out that day. Tate looked so peaceful sleeping in his rocker that I snapped a picture. Even when he was sleeping you could feel of his love. Later that day I went inside to check on the babies and Tate had woken up. Brandi was still in the pool so I picked Tate up and he snuggled right into my neck. I watched him snuggle in his mama’s neck dozens of time and felt so special that he knew me enough to want to snuggle too! But don’t fear… as soon as Brandi walked in, he started waving his arms for her! He sure did love his mama!!
We were kind of?happy that Brandi had to have her appendix removed (sorry Brandi) because it delayed Tate’s birthday party by a week so we got to go!! What a special day for sweet Tate!!! We loved watching him eat his cool whip and blow out his candle… even if he was a little shy 🙂
We can never forget all our Sunday gatherings at Grandma Traci’s and watching all the kids play together! My little Lucas love love loved Tate. His favorite was playing peek a boo. On this particular Sunday Lucas sat and played with Tate and they both were laughing in delight! Both Brandi and I pulled out our cameras to capture the moment. What sweethearts!!
Tate taught our family so many things, unconditional love and most importantly that we can do hard things!! Tate was a warrior and is one of the strongest spirits and WE had the privilege of not only knowing him, but LOVING him too!!
WE LOVE YOU TATE!!!
