When We See You Again
When we see you again we’ll have a chance
To be together forever without mortal trials.
We’ll run and we’ll swim and we’ll play and we’ll dance.
And if we get tired, we’ll trade tickles for smiles.
At night on our backs the stars we’ll be countin’.
And then, like a train, on our backsides we’ll scoot.
Before you know it, we’ll be Comin’ Round The Mountain,
Laughin’ and gigglin’ and yellin’, “TOOT! TOOT!”
No tube in your tummy tyin’ you down to one place.
Won’t it be great to drink and to swallow?
A look won’t be all that we find on your face,
When you eat your first roasted marshmallow.
We’ll play basketball, you’ll slam-dunk with both hands.
We’ll hike to a lake, perhaps catch a frog.
We’ll run on the beach and play in the sands.
We’ll see Mickey Mouse, Hot-Diggity-Dog!
You always enjoyed doin’ things just to tease us,
Especially Lexi and Hunter.
Won’t it be fun to skip rocks with Jesus
And fly kites with Heavenly Father?
