Always Playing

Brandi and I have a blue reclining chair that seemed to be the designated chair for holding Tate. Both of us spent countless hours in that chair holding our sweet baby.

When we had Hunter, Brandi would often mention that she got jipped in that Hunter came to us as a Toddler and she never rally got to experience the baby phase with him. He was always so big and non-cuddly. Don’t worry buddy, we wouldn’t change you for anything. You are and always will be the protector of our family. When Tate was born he was so small and loveable, Brandi had her perfect cuddly baby. Tate would cuddle with us every night as we put him to sleep. There was not a night that went by that he wasn’t held as he fell asleep.

As Tate got older he became much more rambunctious and playful. While he still wanted to be cuddled all the time, he also loved to play. I would recline back in the chair and he would sit on my chest while looking at me with his feet on both sides of my head. In this position we would tell stories to each other, laugh and play for quite a long time. I would receive the best hugs and the most slobbery kisses. Whenever I asked for a hug or a kiss he would never turn me down. He would give me a huge hug and then sit back up and start wiggling all over as excited as he could be. There were a few times that I would catch an inadvertent heel to my face, but this would just make him laugh harder which would make me laugh harder as well.

I will always miss sitting and playing with my little buddy.
